MICHAEL D. GANZ., partner, specializes in the areas of construction law, surety law and commercial litigation and has been with the firm since 2004. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo and his Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the private and public sectors, including the New York State Office of General Services and the New York City Department of Environmental Projection. Mr. Ganz was formerly Deputy Counsel to the Manhattan Borough President, Chairman of the New York County Lawyer’s Association’s Construction Law Committee, and has presented classes for continuing legal education and classes for construction personnel. He is legal counsel to the Suffolk County Electrical Contractors Association and was a member of the Executive Advisory Board of the Subcontractors Trade Association. His diverse construction experience includes contract litigation, surety law, arbitration, negotiation, mediation and analysis of construction claims. He recently won a multi-million dollar award after trial for a large electrical contractor.
